Robots Are Taking Over: Why Every Factory Is Going Robotic Right Now

The International Federation of Robotics reports that 542,000 industrial robots were installed globally in 2024, the second-highest annual total ever and the fourth consecutive year above 500,000 units. U.S. installations alone grew 11% year-over-year, reaching 38,000 units in 2025. The factory automation market is now projected to hit $171 billion in 2026, up from $158 billion in 2025. And it is still accelerating. This is not a future trend. It is a present reality with a decade of compounding ahead of it.
